Burkhard Fink is a machinist by trade which means quite simply precision is the goal. Burkhard was schooled in Austria and was apprenticing as a machinist in his teens. He emigrated from Austria with his family in the 80’s and in fact works out of the very shop that he started his first job at 18.

It is this background that has earned Burkhard recognition in the biomass industry as an expert in the field of commercial biomass boilers. The parent company, Viessmann’s, has its North American head office in Waterloo, Ontario and hires Burkhard for jobs because of his knowledge; which says a lot when you are a leader in technical innovation like Viessmann’s is.

Some companies and distributors have to hire mechanical engineers and contractors to build these systems. Here at Fink Machine Inc., our team handles the sales, design, assembly and commissioning of our KOB boilers.

My name is Stephen Bearss. I have a Bachelors of Business from Brock University, St. Catherines, Ontario, and I have been working in the wood biomass industry since 2004.

Previously, I was in retail sales with Armstrong Pellet Inc. for Harman & Envirofire Residential Pellet Appliances. In 2007, Pinnacle Pellet Inc., a British Columbia owned and operated company and one of the largest pellet producers in the world, purchased Armstrong Pellet Inc.

In 2009, I pursued a path into commercial biomass heating, and was hired by Fink Machine. I enjoy working in an industry that promotes wise stewardship of renewable resources with the potential to create local economic stability in the bio-energy sector.

My sales territory includes, southern British Columbia (Vancouver Island), Alberta, North West Territories, Alaska and Prince Edward Island.
