PYROT by KÖB is originally designed to use dry woodchips
or wood pellets or wood byproduct from the wood processing industry.
Wood pellets optimise the efficiency of the PYROT even for large heat
loads. This system not only points to the future, but is also highly
economical for large buildings and for community heating systems. Fully automatic chip and pellet boilers are available in sizes from
80 kw - 2500 kw (270.000 - 8.5 million btu)

How It Works: Continuous gasification is carried out on the moving grate with minimal primary air. The combustible gases rise into the rotary combustion chamber and are mixed with secondary air that had been diffused by the rotation blower and given spin impulse. This guarantees a perfect mixture of secondary air with the combustible gases. It brings about a new era in the combustion technology of wood fuels, making it equivalent in quality to gas combustion. High Efficiency The perfect combustion lowers the emissions of CO and NOx to below that of modern oil heating systems. Unlike oil and gas, wood is CO2-neutral and renewable. Used with our modulating output controllers, burner efficiency of more than 90% is achievable. Fuels The PYROT’s unique rotary combustion chamber design is perfect for wood fuels at any output rating can burn a wide range of wood types. With the newly developed pre-drying system, the PYROT is now capable of optimally using wet wood chippings. |
